Company shift
On September 2006, after four years of permanent employment in one of the largest bank in South East Asia, I resigned. I will now be joining a consultancy and BPO firm to be their software programmer. They offered me 28k a month.
For four years I got no promotion. My salary increases every year, though, but it is not enough for the level of work I am doing. It is only 17K gross of tax. We are about 60 in our division and I am the 5th to last who resigned. The main reason is compensation. The company hires consultant programmers who are not college graduate and with only 6 months programming experience and paid 20K a month. But me? A Comp-Sci holder with 4 years programming experience received only 17k. It is only right to find a new company.
